The year 2025 is a monumental milestone for Turner’s Nashville business unit as we celebrate 50 years of building in Middle Tennessee. From our first projects in 1975 to the impactful work we’re delivering today, we take immense pride in our enduring contributions to the city.
Our earliest projects in Nashville were partnerships in the healthcare industry, and today our work is integral to Nashville’s skyline and extends across various sectors, including healthcare, commercial, education, manufacturing, data centers, and sports. We have collaborated with local government agencies, communities, nonprofit organizations, cultural institutions, professional sports teams, and developers to create a bright and prosperous future for our city.
These projects across so many parts of our local economy, along with our deep commitment to our partners and the communities they serve, are the primary reasons we’ve been able to build in Nashville for 50 years. Equally important, they provide meaningful careers and opportunities for our employees and their families, whose livelihoods, dedication, and pride are the foundation of Turner’s legacy and future in Middle Tennessee.
Nashville is a major hub for the healthcare industry and home to more than 500 healthcare companies. The Nashville Healthcare Council estimated the local healthcare ecosystem contributes over $68 billion annually to the local economy and supports 330,000 jobs in the region.
Turner’s healthcare partners in the region make a tremendous difference for patients, advancing care, driving groundbreaking research, and supporting medical education. Our first project in Nashville was at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and since then, our Turner teams have worked with many of the region’s leading healthcare providers including Ascension Saint Thomas, Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Maury Regional Medical Center, and Tennessee Oncology.
Over the past 50 years, Turner’s Nashville office has delivered an extensive portfolio of healthcare projects across Middle Tennessee, building and renovating spaces where leading providers care for our friends, families, and neighbors. Our experience spans major hospitals, outpatient centers, specialty clinics, and advanced research facilities—strengthening the region’s healthcare and life science infrastructure while supporting the well-being of the communities we serve.
Middle Tennessee is home to a diverse range of institutions supporting all types of educational and professional pursuits. Contributing substantially to the local economy each year, these institutions enhance individual career prospects, address local labor needs, and stimulate economic growth.鈥

At Turner, we are deeply committed to fostering a workplace where employees can thrive—through professional growth opportunities, career development, and a culture that inspires the next generation of builders. Thanks to the dedication of our incredible team and partners, Turner is well-positioned to continue making a meaningful difference in Middle Tennessee for the next 50 years.
